What matters
Many product and innovation initiatives start with a strong conviction: a promising idea, a new capability, a new customer request, a new technology, or a market shift.
How can a conviction become a clear opportunity?
Before committing resources, strategic questions need an answer:
- How meaningful and differentiated is the value proposition?
- How economically viable is the initiative and how does it compare to other initiatives?
- What implementation challenges, risks, and timing constraints exist?
What I do
My work bridges vision and execution on new product initiatives. I translate ambiguous (and often contradictory) market signals and technology constraints into a clear, actionable product strategy, so you can commit to the right direction with confidence instead of guesswork. I bring an independent, outside perspective to help you make product investment decisions without bias.
“Product strategy is the process that transforms customer insights, business priorities, and constraints into a clear and defensible product direction“
Michele Lagioia
Product Strategy Consultant

How I do it
Strategy is risk reduction through implementation. It requires hypothesis testing, analysis, and learning.
To make product strategy tangible, I work in small, focused iterations. Each iteration produces a deliverable to act upon and build from. Instead of a detailed report that works once and can’t adapt, I build playbooks and models designed to address changing market conditions, shifting competitor positioning. The goal is better strategic decisions in a changing world.
Experience
Over the past 15 years, I’ve helped product teams in technology-driven and fast-moving businesses to clarify and specify what products to build and how.
